تأسست مدارس دور العلوم العالمية Dour Al-Uloom International Schools عام 1414 هـ الموافق 1993 ميلادي، فكرة من مجموعة من أهل الخبرة التربويين في جامعة الملك فهد للبترول والمعادن، تقع في حي الهفوف الإحساء وبدأت المدارس بالمرحلة الابتدائية فقط وكان عدد فصول المدرسة (16) فصلاً من البنين والبنات، ثم تم افتتاح المرحلة المتوسطة في العام التالي 1415 هـ بالصف الأول والثاني المتوسط، وبعد ذلك تم افتتاح المرحلة الثانوية في عام 1417هـ. تمتلك هذه المدرسة اعتماداً من وزارة التعليم السعودي وAIAA، وامتازت المدرسة بتقديم خدمة تعليمية متطورة وفق استراتيجيات تعليمية حديثة.

إعداد جيل مسلم، منتمِ لوطنه، منفتحِ على عالمه، مبدع في تعلمه، متخذ قراراته السليمة، متقن للتقنيات الحديثة في بيئة تربوية محفزة.
تؤمن المدرسة بأن تفوق الطلاب أسمى غاياتها. لا تألو جهدًا في بناء جيل مؤمن واعٍ متمسك بدينه. تضم بين جنباتها معلمين أكفاء يدركون المسؤولية الملقاة على عواتقهم. يدرك الكادر التدريسي أن الطبيب إذا أخطأ قد يموت مريض، والمهندس إذا أخطأ قد يقع مبنى، أما المعلم إذا أخطأ قد يموت جيل بأكمله، لذا يحرصون دائماً على تقديم المعلومة صحيحة وافية لطلاب حريصين على العلم يزينهم الخلق متمثلين قول الشاعر: لا تحسبنَّ العلمَ ينفعُ وحدَه مالم يُتوج ربُه بخلاقِ.
